Metric Definition

Number active users: Frequency of Visits – Number of visits / the number of users over a period of time. Basically aimed to track customer loyalty.
Depth of Visit: Number of screens viewed on average compared to the number of visits. Together with duration, this metric gives insight about how engaged your customers are.
Number of loyal users: Number of people who frequently open your app over a period of time.
Average time on an app: Can include average time in a section of an app. Number of screens viewed on average compared to the number of visits. Together with duration, this metric gives you insight about how engaged your customers are.

Number of items users engaged with:

For publishers: number of items read
For video distributors: number of videos viewed
For e-commerce apps: number of products viewed, put in shopping cart
Transactions: Number of items purchased, subscriptions, or registrations
Transactions per time on app: Number of transactions during a specific time period of interest
Retention rate: Percentage of users who installed an app during a specific time period and are still active users of the app for a designated time period
Bounce Rate: Ratio of the number of user visits with a single view event to the total number of visits. This helps you understand how many of your users are just starting up your app or launching your mobile site, then closing it.
